![]() ![]() The transfer kept hanging, slowing down, speeding up, just being annoying. Once I did a 70GB+ photo job for a client and tried to transfer it to my 128GB Samsung BAR I keep on my keyring. The write speeds jump all over the place though. On testing the BAR's have really inconsistent write speeds that jump around a bunch. They sent me two of the new style BAR's for free, almost three years after I bought them originally. Was using them as my boot drives for FreeNAS but both failed at different points. That just shows how far tech has come and how much further it will go. There's even so much more to do with my phone I haven't been bothered to. I can legitimately plug my phone into any screen use my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and have a desktop experience. From the stylus to the heart rate monitor/blood oxygen sensor, so much amazing tech thats almost more surprising how much I use them. Now my note 9 is everything I could have dreamed of and then some. Honestly it was a great time for tech, but now it feels like we were cavemen back then. With that flash drive and my jailbroke ipod touch I felt like the peak of tech goodness. I had a huge 8gb flash drive that I loved and took with me if there was a chance there would be a computer. The absolute hype of flash drives (for me at least) was probably about 2009. The ability to transfer files between computers with ease and take it with you was great. ![]() They were silver sticks with a cloudy plastic tip that lit up green when used. We had 2 of the old ones from back we had the iMac g3. Just make sure to tag the post with the flair and give a little background info/context.
